Eric R. Weaver - USF Engineering student who originated the idea of students getting credit for using their developing expertise to contribute to community service. His inspiration was encouraged by his being selected as Disney's "Dreamer and Doers" Award Winner in 1985 whereby he articulated his theories for a Utopian society. After graduating USF, Eric has established himself as the premier expert in Hillsborough County of Stormwater Management Modeling.
Chuck R. Miccolis - USF Engineering student who teamed up with Eric to establish the original organization, Rent-A-Student.
Keith Sargent - USF Grad who helped organize Rent-A-Student. Mr. Sargent spent over 15 years in the Securities Brokerage business. He is currently retired and has decided to devote his life to public service.
Other Key Individuals
Fred Arce - Ex-world class Boxer/Kickboxer who enlisted Rent-A-Student to assist in his A.R.C.E. Talent Searches that sought to provide students with an alternative to negative peer pressure. His Talent Searches encouraged young people to pursue their artistic talents rather than get involved with drugs.
Trace Tervo - A 1984 Olympian in the sport of Sailing who established what is now the oldest computer company in Tampa. He has patented software programs that is years ahead of the competition in PDA technology. His company, Advantage Int'l has won several People's Choice awards for excellence in Software development.
Scott Barnett - Corporate Attorney who has acted as an Advisor to STARS over the years with regards to legal issues involving Non-Profit.
David Kinser - CPA who worked to get STARS its 501©3 status.
